Default Zealous or Sundering String for Tomb

Right so if you've looked at my recent posts, you'd know I'm trying to create a bow specifically for barraging insanities in the UW tomb. I just got a clean gold max damage longbow 15%^50 req. 11, which i can live with since my marksmanship is always at 12.

Anyway, I cant decide which bowstring to mod it with! I'd like zealous just because, you essentially never run out of energy, but i'm thinking at the same time with sundering, you wouldnt have that -1 energy regen. Plus wiith sundering you will probably be killing quicker, so energy may not be such a big deal. I've heard sundering works well on things with thick skins like hydras. Do insanities have thick skins? I think it's safe to say, worms do lol.

Can i get some suggestions here to convince me as to which one i should use lol?

Well considering you have 4 other people barraging the hell out of the insanities, I myself would go with zealous.

Vampiric all the way, don't need Zealous running Barrage IMO. You can use the green bow from there I believe, cheap as dirt.

On a side note, is a long bow the best bow for barrage? Since it does have a long cooldown time for refiring, anyway. I usually use a long bow or recurve bow (Elswyth's vampiric one).

Sundering is definately too pricey. And zealous is much better in tombs, IMO

get a vamp bow and a zealous bow and switch to zealous when you need energy switch to zeal.

also i think ur markmanship should be at 16 rather than at 12.

Yeah when you're playing damage, max your main attribute almost without exception. Critical hits are a useful bonus with R's, W's, and A's.

Flatbow's are a good option there. Long range, fast refire rate. Someone ALWAYS has Favorable down (or should if its a BP run..) so Flight arch is not a problem.

There's no reason to use zealous, at 13 expertise barrage costs 2 energy. You could spam that all day and all night and then some and not run out of energy.

Sundering sucks with wild and vigorous abandon.

Vampiric adds a good chunk of damage, heals you, and generally kicks all manner of ass. The elswyth's bow is great, ans would be a vamp longbow. A flatbow isn't that helpful as the faster refire rate is negated by simply having to wait for barrage to recharge. You'll get halfway though a new attack animation for a flatbow then stop and use barrage. a longbow or recurve bow synchs well with it.

Flatbow/Longbow for pulling, switch to Elswyth's Recurve bow for close range barraging. Works a treat
